Circle Quilt Three
This is the third in a series. I made the first in 2007, and the second some time between then an now. I’ve been appliqué ing the circles down for a few years and finished a few weeks ago. It’s not pieced but seeing this quilt on my design wall makes me one happy mama.
Cloche Hat
My Intown guild always has a group quilt in process. Basically, you get quilt blocks made to your size, color, pattern, etc. specifications and assemble. I’ve talked about it before, I think. One member keeps the master list of when members “join” – it’s not an official sort of thing – and we go inContinue reading “Cloche Hat”
Indigo Quilt
I eyed some indigo fabrics at market for three years. Maybe longer. Every time I was at market I wanted to buy them but couldn’t bring myself to do it. I finally made the plunge when I was pregnant with Q-Man, and knew it would be a while before I was at any market. I’veContinue reading “Indigo Quilt”
Modern, Merry Christmas Quilt
I am SO happy! The quilt isn’t pieced, but it’s on my wall, and that, my friends, is almost as good!
Christmas Geese, part three
Four days of trimming flying geese. My vision for an all flying geese quilt seemed like a good idea when I started it. To be fair, I was only working on it for an hour or two each night after the kids were in bed, and there are several HUNDRED of them, big and small.Continue reading “Christmas Geese, part three”
Mid Century Modern Quilt
Since I’m knocking things off my list, here’s another. Husband doesn’t get excited about quilts the same way I do, but when I showed him this one, and told him I wanted to make it for our bedroom he was all for it. A trip to my favorite quilt shop to pick up a collectionContinue reading “Mid Century Modern Quilt”
Two Quilts for Two Sisters
A friend of mine had baby two a year ago. As part of her shower gift, I made a quilt. My friend didn’t find out the gender of the baby ahead of time, so I couldn’t actually do anything until the baby was born. I’m really late getting this to Z, but better late thanContinue reading “Two Quilts for Two Sisters”
Mushrooms in My Garden
Every six or so months, a member of my quilt guild is chosen to get blocks for his or her own group quilt. My friend SB asked for brightly colored blocks representing something in your garden. The other day I was inspired by some neatly manicured bushes, and decided to make mushrooms. I mean, whoContinue reading “Mushrooms in My Garden”
Christmas Geese
Flying geese have been cut, and are partially assembled. I love the fast flying geese method!
