After breakfast Saturday, I cleaned the kitchen then quietly disappeared to my sewing room. I was bound and determined to get borders on this quilt. Thrilled that it happened!
I thought I was going to have a patchwork-ish or red border but it wasn’t working. Anyhow, I recently bought a half yard of the Mustang fabric for an entirely different project. After ironing it I haphazardly threw it across my quilt and realized that it would be the perfect border. I auditioned fabrics at home but couldn’t quite find the right thing. Never in a million years would I have picked the puce inner border but it actually worked here. I needed something to warm up the quilt but didn’t want to go overboard.
I’ve been sketching possible quilt designs, running over a thousand ideas things in my head.I’m having fun doodling and getting my hand and brain ready for the project. I’ve been researching books and online, too…getting there….slowly but surely getting there.
