Misunderstood invites you on a captivating journey through color and design. Discover the art of skillfully blending hues to craft this mesmerizing quilt, exclusively composed of Flying Geese blocks. Throughout Misunderstood, the interplay of two colors—white and blue—creates a dynamic sense of movement across the quilt.
During this class, we’ll delve into the nuances of value, hue, and color placement. Gain insights into effective techniques for developing vibrant color schemes and simplifying block placement. Whether adhering to the provided pattern or venturing into your unique interpretation of Misunderstood, students are encouraged to apply the principles learned in class to their creations.
In addition to creating the quilt, we’ll explore concepts from Patty’s third book, Zero Waste Quilting, to utilize the scraps created making this quilt. Students will leave with a completed, or partially completed, quilt and deeper insight into analyzing and maximizing the use of scrap fabrics, leading to minimal waste.
